3 tips for afternoon snack

Three tips for you when it comes to your afternoon snack. So I'm a huge fan of nuts. They're part of the Mediterranean diet. They're going to keep you full and satisfied. You always want to aim for the raw almonds versus roasted and salted. You're going to save on sodium and roasted tends to have added oils that we just don't need. You can really choose any variety of nuts in terms of cashews, pecans, walnuts, whatever you like when it comes to nuts.

 

Number two, you want to stick to a portion, which is about a handful, typically about 15 nuts per serving. As we move along, there's dried fruit. Dried fruit is It's an absolute no, it's filled with added sugar, where you'd feel much more satisfied from a regular piece of fruit which has the fiber and the water in it.
