Menopause don't skip meals
A lot of women in menopause skip meals because they think it's going to help them lose weight, but it's actually doing the complete opposite. When you go too long without eating, whether you're skipping breakfast or skipping meals throughout the day, that's going to slow your metabolism down and your body is going to hold on to everything.
I'm a big believer in having breakfast within 60 to 90 minutes of waking up. Having something to eat every three to four hours throughout the day. Foods rich in protein, foods rich in fiber help keep your metabolism going.
I actually saw a client recently, she was in her mid 50s, she wasn't eating enough. We started incorporating more food. She dropped 10 pounds. Now she sent all her friends in because they were like, what's your secret? And she said her secret was actually eating more and eating consistently throughout the day. I promise you, if you eat a little bit more and eat the right foods, if you're in menopause, that's going to help you lose weight.
