Men. Three ways you can rev your metabolism. Hi, I'm Ilyse Schapiro, registered dietician with offices in Westchester, NY and Greenwich, CT.
Number one, you want to make sure you're getting in strength training at least three days per week. Doing consistent strength training helps to rev your metabolism.
Number two, you want to make sure you're not skipping meals. We are all busy. I totally get that. When you skip meals, that slows your metabolism down. So you want to make sure you start your day with healthy breakfast and have something to eat every three to four hours throughout the day, stopping at dinnertime.
Number three, drink water. We need water for our bodies, but also to keep our metabolisms going. So many people still forget to drink water throughout the day. So I say, keep a water bottle with you, drink it all day long, aim for at least 64 ounces per day, and we'll get that metabolism going and burning and help with your weight loss.
